This bike tour in the USA is very unusual, from the ROADERY series by EAGLERIDER, absolutely exclusive and unique. It's actually made of special routes (you will even have a guide with road suggestions). The ideal bike is a Café Racer but we're sure that a nice Electra Glide Harley Davidson will do great just as well.

Portland

Welcome to the City of Roses! Before starting the trip, take some time to explore this pearl of the Northwest, full of bridges, breweries and a great mix of urban and natural beauties. No trip to Portland can be complete without a visit to Powell City of Books, a bite at Voodoo Doughnut and some of the best coffee you've ever had in one of the thousands of excellent bars. Liberal politics and plenty of outdoor activities contribute to the city's official motto "Keep Portland Weird."

Portland – Coos Bay

Today you're picking up your bike and heading west, across the picturesque Tillamook Forest on the road to the cheese factory of Tillamook, which produces 170/000 pounds of cheese every day. You can take a tour of the factory and the Creamery Café is a magical (and delicious) place to have lunch. Continue south on Highway 101, along the coast and the cliffs of the mighty Pacific Ocean. Keep your eyes open for sea lions, sea otters, and perhaps even a humpback whale! 170 breathtaking miles will lead you across small towns of Lincoln City, Newport and Florence, until you reach Coos Bay, your destination for the night.

Coos Bay - Bend

Wake up early, you're in for a spectacular ride today! Start eastward on highways 42 and 138, through the Umpqua National Forest and the southernmost part od the Cascades. The nest 180 miles will cause your jaw to drop, until you reach Crater Lake National Park, a place you have to see to believe it. Created in a massive volcanic eruption thousands of years ago, Crater Lake is the third-deepest lake in the world. The water doesn't leave the lake, which only feeds on rain and snow, resulting in the typical deep blue color. The visitors centers very helpful, and you should make sure to stop for coffee at the amazing Crater Lake Lodge. Then go back north, to the town of Bend, where you will spend the night.

Bend - Portland

From Bend, ride further up north along the Cascade Mountains all the way to the foothills of the Mount Hood, an extinguished volcano that represents the highest point in Oregon. Have lunch at The Dalles, called so by the French fur traders and explorers from the 1800s, who were referring to many rocks and rapids in the nearby Columbia river. It's time to go back to Portland, along the banks of the Columbia. The fourth largest river in the USA, Columbia represents the state border between Oregon and Washinton, and it was the final destination of the land expedition of Louis & Clark.
